STEP 1: You may remove adhesive, chewing gum, crayon, candle
wax, and similar type substances by applying ice until it
becomes brittle enough to crumble off. The residue may be
removed with mineral spirits.
STEP 2: For extra deep heel marks, caster marks, etc., rub
extra fine steel wool dampened with a quality vinyl cleaner.
Then touch up with the Hi-Gloss or Matte finish depending
on your product purchase.
STEP 3: For moderate to heavy stains caused by long standing
water or other non-dye liquids, rub with undiluted vinyl
cleaner.
STEP 4: For dark spots caused by ink or other chemicals,
clean spot as per Step #2 above. If not successful, then
effected tiles should be replaced as per Step #7 of the
"Regular Maintenance" section.
STEP 5: Animal and diaper stains should be treated same
as Step #3 above.
CIGARETTE BURNS: If not deep, then procedure #2 above
should work; if, however, they are very deep then the effected
tile should be replaced as per #7 of the "Regular Maintenance"
section.
CAUTION: Some of the products recommended are combustible
and should be used only in well ventilated areas from heat,
sparks, and open flame. Always read and carefully follow
the instructions on the label of each container.
